It’s that time of year,….Flu Season is Here

This year we’ve partnered with Maxim Health Systems to handle flu shots for Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph Counties within our nutrition sites.

If you have Medicare Part B as your primary insurance, Maxim will bill directly. If you have Aetna as your primary insurance, Maxim will bill them directly. Further, pneumonia vaccinations will be available. Please be advised these are also covered by Medicare Part B, but only every 5 years, so please verify your most recent inoculation. Pneumonia is recommended for people 65 years and older who got their first dose when they were younger than 65 and it has been more than five or more years since the first dose.

For those NOT INSURED by Medicare Part B or Aetna, the cost is $30 for the flu shot. If you need the pneumonia.
