Individual Development Account (IDA) is a matched-savings program that helps income-eligible participants save money to buy a home, fix up a house, pursue higher education or start/expand a small business. While encouraging regular savings patterns through monthly deposits, the program also provides financial literacy and asset-specific training education. While working an individualized asset goal, the participants’ savings are matched with state and local dollars. The IDA program can work with participants earning up to 175% of the poverty guidelines.
